Today She is another year older.

When I wrote those words on this day last year, that girl was full of faith, hope, and trust despite the uneasy feelings she was having.

Little did I know that I was about to enter a season that has been one of the harder ones to get through. Everything that was stable in my life at that time, everything that I leaned in to, started to crumble. Career, finances, business, relationships, hobbies, you name it.

But sometimes, it all has to crumble so you can build up something else that is magical.

Today marks another year. This one I am extra thankful for. I survived. I made it. Things are looking brighter. I would do it all over again just to experience the growth and be where I am today. Present. Truly loving life. Soaking up each moment. Gaining my confidence back. Patience and most of all Gratitude.

Of course it isn’t always rainbows and sunshine. There will always be those times when negative thoughts decide to creep in, but being able to recognize them for what they are is a remarkable change.

I am looking forward to what this year unfolds, looking forward to the unknown, looking forward to the opportunities that may arise. Looking forward to the future but also stepping into each day and truly embracing it.

Make today a great one, I know I will be.
